On Sunday May 3rd, Turkish Cultural Center Pennsylvania Pittsburgh organized its Annual Friendship Picnic with about 250 attendance from Pittsburgh community. A diverse group of people including students and academics from St.
Vincent College, California University of Pennsylvania, Duquesne University, and University of Pittsburgh enjoyed Turkish BBQ and friednship in a sunny Sunday.
Among participants, The State Congressman Mike Doyle expressed his personal gratitude for being a guest at TCCP Pittsburgh’s activities in his short speech. Dean of the McKenna School and Professor of Economics Gary Quinlivan shared with participants the successful completion of the Water Well Project in Africa, a joint project of TCCP Pittsburgh, Embrace Relief, and Saint Vincent College. Dr. Quinlivan also announced a new project, The Turkish Cultural Room and Classroom. He stated that as Saint Vincent College they are happy to collaborate with TCCP Pittsburgh for future projects.
